S&P and Dow industrial average rises

The NASDAQ index fell for the second day in a row. Yesterday the index fell -1.27%. Today’s drop has lowered the price by -0.50%. It is still far from the lows which saw the index drop to -1.6%.

The S&P and Dow industry averages both rose and closed higher on that day. The S&P Index lost to -0.56% at its low. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down -0.21% to its trading lows before rebounding.

The S&P Index was able to exceed its 100 hour moving average at the close at 4,686.27.

For the NASDAQ Index, it trades between its 200-hour moving average at 15,571.06 and its 100-hour moving average at 15,890.75. The top of the NASDAQ index tested its 100-hour moving average and found sellers above that level. It would now be necessary to come back above this moving average level to increase its bullish bias. The NASDAQ index closes almost 3% of its record.
