The Ministry of Aviation invites applications from the drone industry for the Pli program
The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Thursday invited applications from the drone industry for the Production Linked Incentive Program (PLI) announced last year.
Value added is calculated as the annual revenue of drones and drone components (net of GST) minus the purchase cost (net of GST) of drones and drone components.
The statement from the Ministry of Civil Aviation said Thursday: “The application form (for the PLI scheme) is a single page, accompanied by the certificate of the head of the organization and the auditor.”
More than one company within a group of companies can submit separate applications under this PLI program and these will be assessed independently, he said.
However, the total PLI payable to such applicants will be capped at 25% of the total financial expenditure under this PLI scheme, he noted.
“The deadline for submitting the application form is 2359 hours on March 31, 2022,” he said.
The PLI program came in September 2021 as a continuation of the Liberalized Drone Rules, 2021, released by the ministry on August 25, 2021.
Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had said on September 16 last year that India’s drone industry would have a total turnover of up to Rs 15,000 crore by 2026 as the government gave a major boost to the sector with the Production Linked Incentive Program (PLI). .
