South African pitcher Kagiso Rabada signed for Manchester Originals in The Hundred
Kagiso Rabada, Nicholas Pooran, David Warner and Sophie Ecclestone were among the star players drafted as The Hundred teams strengthened their squads ahead of the inaugural tournament in 2021.
South African bowler Rabada, West Indies batsman Pooran and Pakistani Shadab Khan have been selected by Manchester Originals with Pooran being the first pick in the draft.
Australian drummer Warner, meanwhile, was acquired by Southern Brave, while compatriot Jhye Richardson and Kieron Pollard of the West Indies were signed by Welsh Fire.

Somerset’s Tom Abell was the first domestic pick in the draft, with Birmingham Phoenix rushing to sign him after being initially selected by Originals in the first draft in October 2019.
Other notable domestic picks include Olly Stone joining Northern Superchargers, Harry Gurney signing for Originals and Ravi Bopara moving to London Spirit and Saqib Mahmood joining Oval Invincibles.
A total of 35 international and domestic male stars were drafted throughout the day after being chosen from over 500 foreign and English players.
Each of the eight teams will be able to add a Wildcard Vitality Blast pick ahead of the Men’s Hundred starting July 22.

The women’s teams also beefed up their squads ahead of their The Hundred tournament kicking off on July 21, with England player Sophie Ecclestone (Originals) and Australians Meg Lanning (Fire) and Alyssa Healy (Superchargers) as well.
The women’s teams will continue to be full over the coming months.
