Did anyone think the Memphis Grizzlies would be this Well?

While many expected the Grizz to have some serious power this year, few imagined they would be the third team in the West at this point in the season.

But not only is Memphis now 30-14, they’ve won 11 straight, against incredibly tough teams like the Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors.

Not only are the Grizzlies on a hot streak, they’re knocking out the biggest names in the game.

Right now, the Grizzlies are number three in the West, but who knows where they will be in a few weeks.

The rise of Ja Morant

If you’re talking about the Grizzlies’ success, you can’t ignore Ja Morant’s season.

The team guard is having a record season, averaging 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.

Morant has been good for years now, but he’s having a season that makes him an MVP contender and has improved both offensively and defensively.

From his incredible playmaking abilities to his insane blocking skills, Morant is just on a whole new level – and it sounds downright infectious.

The better Morant gets, the better the rest of the team gets too.

A strong team

It’s true that Morant is the star of the Grizzlies, but there are several players on the team doing some of the best work of their careers.

Desmond Bane averages 17.6 points per game.

Dillon Brooks is back with 18.4.

Jaren Jackson Jr and Steven Adams are bringing in 5.6 and 9.4 rebounds per game, respectively.

Each of these players performs with speed and enthusiasm.

It’s as if they were all inspired by Morant’s work and fed off the energy.

Several analysts have commented on how much fun the Grizzlies have — they don’t just win games, they have fun doing it.

That kind of full roster leads to a real team-carrying next-man mentality.

For example, Morant didn’t even play for the game against the Los Angeles Clippers, but the Grizz still beat them 123-108.

It’s true that the Clippers were nearly decimated by serious injuries, but there aren’t many teams in the league that are able to win so easily by missing their star player.

That’s the secret to the Grizzlies’ success: yes, Morant is the star, but he’s backed by an unrivaled cast of players.

The Grizzlies have a very tough week ahead: they face the Dallas Mavericks, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, then the Mavs again.

They’ve lost and won against the Mavs, beaten the Nuggets a few times but have yet to face the Bucks and Bulls.

It will be a week to prove themselves, but that doesn’t phase the Grizzlies because they’ve proven themselves all season.
