The 26-year-old player, a midfielder like his brother, has spent his entire career in Spain, where he played more than a hundred matches in the second division. In 2021-2022, he wore the colors of FC Cartagena.
“Nacho Gil is a talented midfielder and he will be a great addition to our squad. His experience and knowledge of the team should enable him to make a quick transition,” Revolution head coach and athletic director Bruce Arena said in a statement.
Gil, who has signed a one-year deal, could combine with his brother Carles, who is one of Major League Soccer’s top passers and won player of the season honors last year.
