FANA, a travel agency based in the United States and Singapore, runs the Friends Fan cruise, nicknamed “The One When They Gone on the Cruise.” The seven-day navigation will depart and return to Fort Lauderdale, with stops in Key West, Florida; Cozumel, Mexico; and George Town, Grand Cayman.
The cruise is not affiliated with Warner Bros., which owns the rights to “Friends” and shares a parent company with CNN. Also, no cast member will appear. But for superfans, there’s plenty to do onboard, including “Friends” trivia, a favorite character costume contest, and cooking demonstrations.
Shore excursion options include a visit to the Rainforest and Key West Botanical Gardens, a visit to the Ernest Hemingway House, tequila and rum tastings (not at the same time), a helicopter trip to the above Grand Cayman’s famous Seven Mile Beach, swim with dolphins and stingrays (definitely the one Pheebs would choose), explore a coral reef by submarine, and participate in a beach clean-up project.
As of June 2021, Celebrity Cruises has required all passengers over 16 to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and provide proof of vaccination. Travelers must also complete a mandatory health questionnaire before being allowed to board.
