The Episcopal Church speaks out in favor of sex changes ‘at all ages’

The Episcopal Church has passed a resolution in favor of attempts at sex reassignment “at all ages”, calling it “religious freedom”.

Resolution D066, adopted by the 80th General Convention, is titled “Addressing Restrictions on Access to Gender-Affirming Care.” The House of Bishops approved the resolution.

He calls on the Episcopal Church to “Advocating for access to gender-affirming care in all forms (social, medical or otherwise) and at all ages.” He goes on to say that advocating for sex reassignment operations is “part of our baptismal call to respect the dignity of every human being.”

The resolution “specifically affirms that all Episcopalians should be able to participate in gender-affirming care without restriction of movement, autonomy, or schedule.” The Episcopal Church also opposes laws that prohibit people, including children, from receiving medical assistance in their attempts to change gender.

What the Episcopal Church calls “gender-affirming care” includes medical interventions such as the use of puberty blockers and hormone replacement therapy, as well as surgeries that permanently damage parts of the body. fully functional or looking to alter the shape of the face.

Lupron, one of the most commonly used drugs as a puberty blocker, has been used to chemically castrate sex offenders. Meanwhile, the puberty-blocking drug Suprelin LA was found to risk of causing brain swelling and permanent vision loss according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The Episcopal Church resolution was proposed by Evangeline Warren, a doctoral student in the Ohio State Department of Sociology. Warren has devoted much of his college career to racial and sexual topics.

Her master’s thesis is titled “How Proximity to Whiteness Affects the Health of Non-White People,” while another paper is on “Pseudo-Medical Crisis Pregnancy Centers.”
