The Energy Community will help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure | ukraine news

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said the Energy Community will help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure.

Shmyhal said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“The Energy Community, which includes most of the European countries, will help Ukraine to rebuild the energy sector. A respective memorandum was signed today during a meeting with the delegation of the Secretariat of the Energy Community led by Artur Lorkowski,” Shmyhal said.

According to him, the issue concerns support for priority projects for the construction and reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, as well as support for the restoration of alternative energy facilities. In addition, the memorandum contemplates cooperation in preparing lawsuits against Russia to collect compensation for damage to the country’s energy infrastructure.

“During the meeting, we also discussed measures to further synchronize the energy systems of Ukraine and the EU and to increase the capacity for export and import of electricity. Thank you for your support and your solidarity. Together we will restore and transform Ukraine into a modern European state,” Shmyhal said.
