The “democratized media” have created a “devil” inside our phones, the ability to get information.

On Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”, network contributor Donny Deutsch responded to two reporters leaving Fox News about his coverage of the January 6 riot on the United States Capitol.

Deutsch said it was “good news” that the media had become so “democratized”. He also warned against the “devil” of easy access to all forms of media on cell phones.

“We now live in a world where people can really get their information tailor-made, and your own set of beliefs allow you to find justification wherever you go,” Deutsch explained. “It’s a problem with no solution.”

He continued, “You know, we’ve democratized the media so much, and that’s the good news. And this is also the bad news – that there is no central nervous system today, and there still will not be. And if you look at the young people of today… they live on this phone, and they live on their bespoke media, and that’s something that future generations are going to have to deal with. There is a devil inside this phone; there is a devil in our ability to get news the way we want it and the way we want it. And that’s the world we’re living in right now.
