“The chemistry between us is growing”

PSG picked up a stunning 6-1 win over Clermont Foot in Ligue 1 last night with star forwards Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi all contributing heavily.

Neymar and Mbappe both netted hat-tricks while Messi managed to bag a hat-trick of assists in a brilliant attacking performance from the superstar trio.

Speaking to PSGTV after the game, Neymar was delighted with PSG’s performance:

“I’m very happy to have scored my first hat-trick of the season. And even happier with the win and our attitude. It’s important that the chemistry between us grows stronger with every game.

“Unfortunately everyone is pretty much 100% at the end of the season. It’s a shame, but I’m very happy with everything we show on the pitch. It’s much easier to play with very intelligent players. Leo and Kylian are extraordinary, they are two geniuses.”

Neymar is only 5 goals away from being the 2nd player to score 100 goals at 3 different clubs. Generational. https://t.co/oTSqR2bF9n

The famous PSG trio of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe finally seem to be finding form together and combining well. With just 7 games left in Ligue 1 until the end of the season, fans are hoping for more such performances from PSG forwards.

PSG will be determined to keep Kylian Mbappé, Neymar and Lionel Messi next season

Neymar, Messi and Mbappe are all capable of winning games on their own for PSG and it will be interesting to see if the trio stick together next season. The 3 stars have been linked to a release in the past few weeks.

While Mbappe has been heavily linked with Real Madrid, rumors of a potential return to Barcelona for Lionel Messi refuse to die down. Even Neymar has been linked with an exit in recent weeks, with some reports indicating the French giants are ready to sell the 30-year-old superstar if the right offer arises.

If Lionel Messi doesn’t score, he plays. Messi is the most complete footballer of all time.

The trio of superstars may have been slow to take off. But they gave a glimpse of what could have been had they come to an agreement earlier in the season.

PSG will be determined to keep the trio together for at least another season, with Kylian Mbappe’s future being the most pressing issue at the moment. The Frenchman’s contract expires this summer and it will be interesting to see what the 23-year-old decides about his future in the coming months.
