The best sweatpants I’ve ever worn are $12 at Walmart

I’m a big proponent of wearing loungewear for more than just lounging around the house. If it’s comfortable and I still look like I’ve put on at least one little effort in my appearance, I will probably wear it down. But when it comes to sweatpants or joggers, it’s hard to find a pair that doesn’t stop at my ankles (I’m 1m75). That’s why I often buy sweatpants in the men’s section, as they have longer inseams and are generally roomier.

A few years ago, on a trip home for the holidays, I was picking up some stuff at Walmart when I decided to add sweatpants to my cart. I wanted something for lounging at my parents’ house that was comfortable enough to wear after gulping down my desperately missing grandmother’s homemade food. These were the Fruit of the Loom EverSoft Men’s Fleece Sweatpants, which received over 5,000 five-star reviews on Walmart.com. They were only $12 and came in a variety of colors like heather gray, black, indigo, and red, so I eagerly grabbed a few pairs.

Since the men’s clothes are a bit larger than the women’s, I reduced my size so I wouldn’t swim in them, but I would still have more room compared to how the women’s sweatpants fit me. are going. They turned out to be the best sweatpants I’ve ever worn.

These sweatpants are still around $12, and they come in S-4XL, with matching inseams (the small is 29.5 inches and the 4XL is 32.5 inches). They are super soft and made of ring spun cotton which seems to be high quality as I have washed and dried mine hundreds of times and they have not fallen apart or faded. If you train a lot or sweat a little (like me), you’ll love the moisture-wicking and odor protection built into the fabric. The leg openings are elasticated and the waist has an elastic cord so you can adjust it to your liking. And since women’s clothing rarely has pockets, I also appreciate that these pants have two deep pockets, one on each side.

They’re so comfortable that they quickly became my go-to pants on my period days and when I have bloating issues (hello, IBS). And if you’re working from home, you can never have too many sweatpants to wear on your many Zoom calls.

Get the Fruit of the Loom EverSoft Fleece Jogger Pants for $11.99.
