Joy Behar told her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday that Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) was more dangerous than Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) while discussing Republican senators who voted against the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson in the Supreme Court of the United States.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “Lindsey Graham, of course, is already hinting that there will be consequences if the GOP takes over after the midterms. I want to point out that Lindsey Graham voted for Ketanji Jackson on the United States Court of Appeals less than a year ago. If you’re voting to put people on the pitch, why is this one so different? And it’s just – none of that makes sense to me. I’m glad America won. You know, it’s American theater. It is a victory for the people. That’s not a bad thing. Why a threat? Why not say okay? »
Behar said: ‘The last time he voted for her his seat was not up for grabs. He is up for re-election soon. That’s what it’s about. You know, the person that bothers me is people like Ben Sasse, the senator from Nebraska, who has principles. He has opposed Trump on several occasions. He says Judge Jackson is beyond reproach, he’s the best, and then he’s going to vote against her because he wants to keep his job. There is something so pathetic about this kind of position. It’s almost as if the Ben Sasses of the world are more dangerous than even the Lindsey Grahams.
