‘That makes sense!’ – Gary Neville offers a dry response to spotting Chelsea owner Todd Boehly sitting alongside former Chancellor George Osborne as he watches Mykhailo Mudryk and £106m man Enzo Fernandez vs Fulham

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly had a special guest during their derby clash with Fulham in George Osborne.
A renowned politician, the 51-year-old was Chancellor of the Exchequer between 2010 and 2016, alongside former Prime Minister David Cameron.

Most recently, Osborne was editor of the Evening Standard in London, where he was responsible for building relationships with the capital’s elite as part of his role.
Sitting alongside the American tycoon, Osborne was a special guest for the West London derby as he joined Boehly to watch the Blues’ stellar new line-up in action.
Spotting Boehly and Osborne side by side, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville sarcastically commented: “He’s sitting next to the ex-Chancellor, that makes sense!” In reference to Chelsea’s big spending.
Chelsea signed seven senior players during the January transfer window as they spent over £280million in the process.
Among those to join were Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez, with the Argentina star joining for a fee of £105million on transfer deadline day.
Mudryk and Fernandez have been thrown straight into action for the clash with Fulham, a game that could see Chelsea enter the top six with a win.
