TFC: “Whether we qualify for the European Cup or not will not influence my decision to extend” assures Maxime Dupé
Like other executives in the Toulouse locker room, goalkeeper Maxime Dupé is coming to the end of his contract next June. He assures that a qualification of the TFC in the European Cup will not be a decisive argument in his decision to extend.
He has long searched for his words to answer the question: “Could a victory in the final of the Coupe de France weigh on your decision to extend to TFC?” Because obviously, this possible title would drastically change the face of the next season of the Haut-Garonne club, which would be qualified for the Europa League. And would therefore be a strong argument to convince players who are coming to the end of their contract in June, including Maxime Dupé, to extend their lease.

Finally, Maxime Dupé replied: “I want to say no … It will not be an important criterion for me, because my thinking was already the same before this qualification for the semi-finals.” Six days before the trip to Annecy for the semi-final of the Cup, the TFC goalkeeper again reaffirmed, as he had done in February, feeling good at the club: “I repeat myself, I like Toulouse, I like the ambition of the club and the fervor around it.”

Like those of Branco van den Boomen, Brecht Dejaegere and Stijn Spierings, Maxime Dupé’s extension file is being studied by club management, which the 30-year-old goalkeeper confirmed: “There are discussions with the club, but at the moment I cannot tell you more.”
