Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have separated after seven years of marriage.
The “Bare Wit Me” singer announced her split from the former NBA player via Instagram on Sunday, insisting there was no cheating in the relationship.
“AH AH AH!” Not too much about my best friend! In all honesty, Iman and I are broken up and have been for a while,” Taylor captioned a photo of the two dressed as Wayne and Garth from “Wayne’s World.”
“To be 1000% clear, “infidelity” is not one of the reasons we left. We are still best friends, great business partners, and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.
The “A Thousand and One” actress further stressed that she and her ex-husband will remain “family” despite their breakup.

“In our 10 years together, 7 years of marriage, we have never played with or about THIS,” she continued.
“We’re just keeping you out of the group chat lol, that’s the reason we were able to part ways successfully and peacefully without all the outside noise.”
The “White Men Can’t Jump” star also addressed the “narratives” about herself and the retired basketball player, which she said “have gotten a little out of hand.”
“It’s unfair to all parties involved,” she added. “I hope this has brought you some clarity.”
Taylor, 32, and Shumpert, 33, confirmed their romance on social media in June 2014.
The two secretly married in 2016.
They share two children, Iman Tayla, 7 years old – nicknamed “Junie” – and Rue Rose, 3 years old.
Shumpert gave birth to their two daughters at home, in the bathroom.
“At 3:28 a.m. on September 6, 2020 Rue Rose 🌹 decided that the baby shower thrown for her and mom was too lit. She didn’t celebrate but she managed to make the next day her birthday!!!” he shared on Instagram at the time.
“Now…when we buy a house we always find a bathroom full of energy…but in a million years you couldn’t tell me we’d give birth to our two daughters in a bathroom without one help from a hospital! »
The former NBA champion has yet to speak about the split.
