Several news outlets and a Texas state senator are reporting that Robb’s elementary school shooting suspect Salvador Ramos purchased two guns legally.
Yahoo News notes that Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez told CNN Ramos “he bought two assault rifles on his 18th birthday.”

the Houston Chronicle observed that the Robb Elementary School shooting suspect “legally purchased two guns within days of his 18th birthday, authorities said.”
the the Chronicle added, “Officials said they recovered the two AR-15 style rifles from the scene of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.”
Breitbart News reported that Governor Greg Abbott (right) gave an early afternoon press conference on Tuesday in which he said Ramos “entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with a gun handgun, and maybe he also had a gun”.

the NYT then answers his own question by explaining that the common link between most mass shooters is that “they bought their guns legally”.
