The 13- and 14-year-old athletes who distinguished themselves the most during the 55e Finale des Jeux du Québec will take part in this match at the Saputo stadium wearing the blue, white and black colors associated with CF Montreal.
At the end of July, athletes from the South Shore defeated those from Lac St-Louis in the final of the women’s soccer tournament. Laval had taken the bronze medal.
“CF Montreal’s mission is also to make young people who play soccer in Quebec dream, girls included. This event will be a great opportunity to celebrate and showcase local female talent,” said CF Montreal Academy director Patrick Leduc in a press release.
“We want to participate more in the growth of women’s soccer in the province and this is a step in that direction. I can’t wait to see young Quebec players wear the CF Montreal jersey on the lawn of the Saputo stadium for the first time in the club’s history,” he added.
The women’s all-star game will take place on September 4, at 3:30 p.m.
