Teen found fatally shot inside building in suburban Oak Forest, police say – NBC Chicago

Police in the southern suburb of Oak Forest are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was found shot dead on Saturday, authorities said.

At an unknown time, officers responded to the 15500 block of Cicero Avenue regarding a gunshot victim. Officers who arrived found a teenage boy who had been shot in the back of the building, Oak Forest Police said.

The 17-year-old boy was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. Oak Forest Police are investigating the homicide in conjunction with the Southern Suburbs Major Crimes Task Force.
