Tecno Phantom X2 Pro teardown shows us the protruding telephoto lens up close

The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro is one of the most memorable phones in recent memory thanks to its unique retractable telephoto/portrait lens. We wondered what the phone looks like inside and luckily PBK Reviews has us covered with its latest teardown video.

The plastic back shell is removed after removing the SIM tray and applying some heat to the back. Removing a total of 17 screws frees the cameras and gives us a close-up of the telephoto module (1:15 mark in the video). Unclipping a few extra cables frees up the motherboard and lets us get a closer look at the three rear cameras, proximity sensor, and LED flash. The rear side houses the chipset, RAM and storage.

Disassembly of the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro

The battery does not come with tabs, requiring the host to apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol around the cell to eat away at the adhesive. The video then shows the speaker assembly located at the bottom. The Phantom X2 Pro scores a combined repairability score of 4.5/10.
