A taxpayer-funded organization called Zero to Three promotes transgender identity to children aged two, one report from the Washington Free Beacon found.
The country’s leading early childhood development organization says children as young as two can show signs of “transgender identity” and urges teachers to “use the principles of critical race theory” when teaching work with newborns.
Zero to Three has received over $230 million in federal funding since 2008 to reshape children’s education in the United States.
The organization promoted its leftist views at a virtual conference, which was revealed by the Washington Free Beacon.
The conference included sessions titled “What does it mean to be transgender and how can you support children who might be?” and “Elevating Racial Equity in the First 1,000 Days: Protecting, Promoting, and Preserving the Health, Wealth, and Learning of Our Families and Babies.”
One session aimed to address “the development of gender identity, including the early stage of the process (2-3 years) and how parents and professionals can distinguish the exploration of gender from the emergence of a transgender identity.
The Washington Free Beacon reported that Zero to Three has 3,653 members who work in early childhood development and has received $234.68 million in funding from the Department of Health and Human Services since 2008.
Additionally, the Washington Free Beacon noted that the organization is expected to receive an additional $52 million by 2027, including a $4.2 million Biden administration grant that begins this month.
According to the organization 2021 Impact ReportZero to Three trained a total of 89,222 professionals last year alone.
The Washington Free Beacon argues that although critical race theory and gender ideology have taken root in schools across the country, “Zero to Three’s advocacy on these issues represents one of the most media to promote these radical views in early childhood development. ”

Although Zero to Three claims to be nonpartisan, the organization has lobbied exclusively for Democratic-backed legislation. The organization’s financial disclosures also reveal that they are supported by the Pritzker Children’s Initiative, the foundation of Democratic Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.
The Pritzker family has strong ties to the movement to normalize transgendering in children. Breitbart News previously revealed that a night camp for eight year old transgender was funded by the Tawani Foundation. The Tawani Foundation is led by Jennifer Pritzker, cousin of JB Pritzker and transgender billionaire.
The keynote address for the Zero to Three conference in September was delivered by John King, the former Obama administration education secretary. During his address, he spoke of the “essential need to address the challenges of equity” in early childhood education.
Zero to Three relies heavily on government funding. According to the organization’s latest tax return, it raised $38 million in 2019, of which $21 million came from the government.
Under the Obama administration, Zero to Three received $1.95 million from the Department of Justice. The Department of Defense, through the military, had two contracts worth approximately $10,000 with the organization. Meanwhile, the 2021 conference was sponsored by the CDC and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Zero to Three is ready to arrange an in-person meeting conference in December. The conference description reads,“Join us to discover strategies for connecting with families through courageous conversations – from typical developmental issues like challenging behaviors to more sensitive topics like racism, family violence, gender identity or immigration issues.”
