Taco Bell faces food shortage
The chain apologized on its website on Tuesday, saying that due to “national ingredient shortages and delivery delays” Taco Bell locations may have run out of options.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to meet the current desires of Taco Bell fans again soon,” Taco Bell said in a statement to CNN Business. He did not specify which menu items or cities were affected.

Taco Bell is the latest restaurant chain to be impacted by global supply chain disruptions that have rippled across all industries. Fast food chains have been hit particularly hard in recent months by a labor shortage and low inventory of some key ingredients.
Chick-fil-A recently limited the number of sauces it distributes to customers due to limited stock. Starbucks (SBUX) also apologized to customers for running out of certain items, including oat milk.
Taco Bell is owned by Miam brands (YUM). Its CEO David Gibbs said on an April earnings call that supply chain issues were also an issue for its sister restaurant KFC, which is struggling to keep up with strong consumer demand for its new. chicken sandwich.
