WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Seahawks return to action this Saturday when they visit South Carolina for a double encounter at the Carolina Natatorium. The meeting starts at 10 a.m.

The Seahawk women (3-7) lost a hotly contested home encounter last weekend to Liberty, 156-144. Saturday’s meet will be the first for the men (4-2) in the spring semester. South Carolina is 2-1 for both women and men. The Gamecock women called off their meeting last weekend against Vanderbilt and Bellarmine.

UNCW junior Courtney klausen and Brooke Kniselya sophomore, was honored as the Colonial Athletic Association’s Diver and Swimmer of the Week earlier this week.

Klausen got off to a quick start this semester winning both draws against Liberty. She has the best score in the conference on both counts.

Knisely, meanwhile, gave the Seahawks a pair of wins in the 500 and 1000 free events.

After this weekend, the Seahawk men face their toughest test of the season when they face second-seeded NC State on January 28 in Raleigh.

UNCW will close the regular season schedule the following week against Davidson. The Seahawks will honor and recognize the senior class on February 5, with competition starting at 11 a.m.
