EXCLUSIVE: After making controversial remarks at a recent pro-Palestinian rally in New York, Susan Sarandon has been removed from UTA as a client, an agency spokesperson confirmed.
The former Academy Award winner has been at several pro-Palestinian rallies where she made several remarks, including: “There are a lot of people who are afraid of being Jewish right now and have a taste for of what it feels like to be a Muslim. in this country.” She also republished on X, a pro-Palestinian message from Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, criticized over the years for his anti-Semitic remarks.
Sarandon’s dismissal from UTA is another example in recent weeks of talent making difficult decisions when it comes to clients or agents making public statements about the war in Israel.
