Suppose Roe v. Wade got canceled and nobody cares?

Is it just me, or do you sense a surprising lack of public outrage at the news Roe vs. Wade is likely to be overthrown?

In my 40 years of watching politics, I have been repeatedly and repeatedly warned by so-called American pundits that the next American Civil War will be about abortion, especially if the Supreme Court overturns deer.

Well, here we are, about five days after someone leaked a Supreme Court decision overturning deera leak almost certainly designed to create an explosion of fury and, well, where is that explosion of fury?

Where’s the Civil War: Part Two?

It’s one of those rare times when I find myself in agreement with this little cupcake of Who’s the boss? On Thursday, Alyssa Milano had her very own Jeb (!) please clap moment. Using his first wife’s voice, Milano berated fellow celebrities for their lack of outrage and activism… “I see all of you celebrities and influencers who are too scared to use your voice in the name of reproductive justice “, she shouted. “I see you talking about diets and makeup and your new movies as our right to bodily autonomy is stripped from us”, she shouted again… Then she begged: “We need you . Get engaged.”

She’s right. Nobody applauds.

Further evidence of public indifference can be found in post-leak cable news ratings, which have not budged… From what we have been told over the past 50 years , you’d think those numbers would skyrocket, but CNNLOL is still averaging less than 700,000 prime-time viewers.

Finally, the day after the leak, Ohio held its primary vote and the Democrats stayed home.

Where is the anger?

Where is the energy?

Where is the interest ?

Could it be that…I’m just speculating here…Could it be that maybe-maybe-conceivably-coincidentally that for the past 50 years, the corporate media and fake pollsters and campaigners of Left and the Democratic Party have brought us to light in believing that ABORTION IS THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT MATTERS!

Why the Gaslight campaign? Well think about it…

First, the threat of civil war: part two is an effective means of intimidating the court from overthrowing deer. Second, it’s a good way to raise funds and get votes.

However, I have a second theory…

What if people were finally tired of Today’s moral panic.

What I mean is that…

Imagine you are a Democrat. Imagine what your life as a Democrat was like for five long years. Honestly, it’s been one fucking thing after another…

Now I have to worry about it.

Now I have to worry about it.

Now I have to take care of this other thing.

From Merrick Garland to Susan Sarandon to #MeToo to Donald Trump to Kids-in-Cages to George Floyd to Charlottesville to Impeachment to Impeachment 2 to Russian election interference to Jussie Smollet to Masking Kids to vaccination mandates through Jan. 6 to Kavanaugh to the Covington Kids to Ukraine to end the filibuster to Elon Musk at, at, at, at, at…

Perhaps the tank of indignation is finally out of gas.

Maybe everyone other than the Alyssa Milano types, the ones who don’t have an identity outside of their addiction to be in addition to themselves, Are you sick of this shit and just want to get back to a normal, peaceful life?

Honestly what’s wrong with the rollover Deer, anyway?

Abortion will not be banned. The matter will simply return to where it has always belonged: to Us, the people, through the legislative process in each state. Any mother who wants to slaughter her unborn child will always be allowed to do so. She might have to order an Uber or get on a bus, but the option of murder will always be there… Most left-leaning women live in states that will still allow them to kill their baby after it’s born…

So what’s the problem ?

No doubt we’ll see some protests over the weekend, maybe even big ones, but it’s too late to convince me that these protests are organic, are anything but the usual organized AstroTurf.

If reversal deer was as important as we were warned, the outrage and interest would have been immediate and everywhere, and it just isn’t.
