We review the stats and round up our latest XIII of players who impressed in the sixth round of the 2022 Super League regular season…

1. Jai Field (Wigan Warriors)

A third player of the season game underscored Field’s contribution as Wigan secured five out of six wins with a 32-22 win at home to Castleford Tigers.

2. Matty Russel (Toulouse Olympique)

A try from the Scotland international helped Toulouse secure a maiden Super League victory as they ended St Helens’ unbeaten start with a 22-20 win on Saturday.

Russell’s try came as he carried for 134 yards with an average gain of eight yards, in addition to making two clean breaks and breaking eight tackles.

3. Deon Cross (Salford Red Devils)

The center played an influential role as Salford ended a three-game losing streak by beating Leeds Rhinos 26-12 on Friday night.

Another strong performance on the wing for Makinson couldn’t prevent St Helens from avoiding their first loss of the season as they went down to Toulouse.

The winger was among the visitors’ try scorers and provided an assist, while going 210 yards with an average gain of 11 yards, two clean breaks and eight tackle jumps.

6. Jacob Miller (Wakefield Trinity)

The Wakefield captain had a big impact on his return to action, helping his side to their second win of the season as they beat Warrington Wolves 38-22.

Miller assisted four of Trinity’s tries and completed several test kicks, as well as a 56-yard carry with the ball in hand.

7. Mason Lino (Wakefield Trinity)

The hooker was at the forefront of Hull FC in a defensively dominated game as they beat Huddersfield Giants 14-6 at home on Sunday.

Houghton made 55 tackles, including nine scoring tackles, with a 100% success rate and also offered an offload with the ball in hand.

10. Mike McMeeken (Catalan Dragons)

McMeeken settled well into his front row role and put in another solid performance as the Catalans beat Hull Kingston Rovers 18-10 on Friday.

The forward went 176 yards with an average gain of 10 yards and offloaded twice, while delivering 24 tackles on the defensive side.

11. Dominique Peyroux (Toulouse Olympic)

The former St Helens man was a thorn in the side of his former club as Toulouse fought back to overcome the visitors at the weekend.

Peyroux was among the French team’s try scorers, while he made a big contribution in defense also making 34 tackles.

12. Liam Farrell (Wigan Warriors)

Another strong second-tier performance from Farrell helped Wigan claim victory over Castleford in Thursday’s Super League game.

Two tries by the 31-year-old have been for 126 yards averaging seven yards per carry, with a clean break and seven tackle breaks. He also made 30 tackles on defense.

13. Elijah Taylor (Salford Red Devils)

The loose striker made key contributions from both sides of the ball as Salford came back to winning ways against Leeds.

Taylor scored a crucial try for the hosts at the AJ Bell Stadium, as well as breaking two tackles and averaging eight yards, as well as 35 tackles in defence.
