For years Dan-el Padilla Peralta, a Dominican-born classics teacher at Princeton, has spoken openly about the harm done by practitioners of the discipline in the two millennia since antiquity – the classic justifications for slavery. , racial science, colonialism, Nazism and other 20th century fascisms.

He thinks the classics are so entangled with white supremacy that they are inseparable from it.
