Summer Wells’ parents to appear in Dr. Phil


JOHNSON CITY, Tennessee (WJHL) – Parents of missing 5-year-old Summer Wells will appear on Dr. Phil, according to a show official.

The official has confirmed that Candus Bly and Donald Wells have spoken with Dr Phil McGraw, but no release date has yet been set.

Don Wells recently spoke with News Channel 11 about the Missing Daughter Reward Fund.

Summer Wells was reported missing from her home in the Beech Creek community of Hawkins County on June 15. Almost four months later, she is still missing, but the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office said the case remains a priority and investigators continue to follow up on information.

The AMBER Alert lists the following details for the summer:

  • Age: 5 years
  • Gender: Female
  • Race: White
  • Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue
  • Height: 3 ′
  • Weight: 40 lbs.
  • Absent from: Rogersville, Tennessee
  • Absent since: June 15, 2021
