Stop lying if you want ‘Kumbaya’, CNN host Pamela Brown slams the GOP

CNN host Pamela Brown slammed Republican lawmakers on Sunday, warning them they must stop lying about the presidential election before they can expect a “kumbaya.”

“The same GOP propaganda that led to the deadly attack on the US Capitol … has not gone away,” Brown said Sunday on “For The Record”. “That’s why I challenge all the Republicans I have on the show who voted to overturn the election. They can’t get everyone to sing kumbaya until they stop repeating the same baseless claim that caused this, ”she added.

“We would all like to heal and move on from this shameful episode in our country,” said Brown, referring to the Capitol Riot. “But here’s the thing: The reality is that Republicans and their supporters didn’t walk out of the election.”

Brown the night before had repeatedly challenged Kansas Republican Senator Roger Marshall, who said he wanted the nation to “leave” the division, even being a key player in creating that deep division.

Marshall, one of only six senators who voted against certification of Electoral College votes for a legitimate presidential election, insisted to Brown: “It’s time for this country to heal, it’s time for a spirit of forgiveness. to come forward. It is time for this country to work together. “

Marshall was criticized for his advocacy by his own town newspaper. A Kansas City Start editorial mocked her empty “heal” feelings.

“It’s a strange prescription from a doctor turned politician who makes it a regular practice to pick up the wounds of the country’s cultural war,” the editorial read. “His Twitter feed and official press releases often read like a ‘Mad Libs’ MAGA.”
