Steph Curry roasted 2 NBA fans the perfect way

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors not only has incredible basketball skills, he also has some really good jokes.

Curry was given the job of hosting the ESPYS on Wednesday night and he did pretty well.

Of course, hosting an awards show requires lots of fun moments, one-liners, and great delivery.

That’s what Curry had.

Curry used the show as an opportunity to poke fun at two of the NBA’s biggest fanbases.

Toward the end of the event, he said the show was in the “fourth quarter”, which meant “all the LA fans are finally here” and “all the Miami fans are already gone”.

It’s a very good joke, a biting dig at people who attend Lakers and Heat games.

Well done, Mr. Curry.

Los Angeles Lakers fans living in Los Angeles have long been known for this somewhat snobby attitude and relaxed take on game start times.

It’s not just for NBA games: Los Angeles natives tend to show up long after the official start time for any event, from concerts to games to graduation ceremonies.

You can blame bad manners or bad traffic, but Los Angeles fans are rarely on time.

Miami fans, on the other hand, seem to take off early whenever their team looks set to lose.

If you watch Heat games, you’ve seen it before: an exodus of fans heading for the exits before the clock even hits zero.

Curry’s own fanbase has its issues too, of course, but there was no way he was digging into them on his big night.
