State media reports Chinese airliner crash with 133 people on board

BEIJING (AP) — State media is reporting that a Chinese airliner with 133 people on board crashed in the southern province of Guangxi on Monday, sparking a mountainside fire.

CCTV broadcaster said the crash involving the China Eastern 737 happened near the city of Wuzhou in Teng County.

He said rescuers had been dispatched and there was no immediate word on the number of dead and injured.
