Star Sports IPL Revenues: The official broadcaster has also increased IPL ON-AIR sponsorship rates by 20%. According to information available from InsideSport, Star Sports has already reached agreements with 10 to 12 advertisers for the 15th season.

“The belief in Disney Star is that the product meets all the parameters. For such a successful property, the advertiser does not care about the highest price. Rates have increased and so has revenue. Ad sales of 4000 Crore look like a reality now”, informed one of the senior members of the Disney Star Network sales team.

Star Sports IPL Revenue – IPL 2022 ON-AIR Sponsorships: According to Disney Star Network sources, the broadcaster has signed 10 sponsors at higher rates.

Star Sports Network has already signed deals with Cred, Dream11, Byju’s, TATA, Asian Paints, Spotify, Meesho, Swiggy Instamart, Kamla Pasand & Pepsi.

  • Co-presenting partners: 160 crores
  • Associate sponsors: 90 crores

It should be noted that Star Sports has increased sponsorship package rate and inventory rates by almost 20% compared to IPL 2021.

The same packages were sealed at 130-140 Cr and 60-65 Cr respectively during IPL 2021.

“IPL 2022 is very special. It will have 10 teams, be played in India, have a new format and most importantly a new line-up. All of these things put together have created a massive amount of buzz in the market and Star is rightfully cashing in on this. buzz”said one of the buying managers of a major media buying agency.

New IPL 2022 format explained: How is the brand new format creating huge buzz for the league?

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will be played in a ‘very unique, interesting and completely NEW format”.

The 10 IPL teams were divided into two groups.

  • Group A: MI, KKR, RR, CC, LSG
  • Group B: CSK, SRH, RCB, PBKS, GT

Each team will play twice with the teams in its group and once with the teams in the other group.

Not only that, but they will also play two games with a team from the same row in the second group.

Together with the rest of the teams in the second group, they will only play once during the season.

For example: In Group A, MI will play 2 matches each against KKR, RR, DC, LSG. MI will also play 2 games against CSK and 1 game each against the other teams in group B.

Similarly, in Group B, RCB will play 2 matches against CSK, SRH, PBKS and GT. RCB will also play 2 matches against RR and 1 match each against other Group A teams.
