Spring has arrived and the cream is rising to the top of the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament. The St. Peter’s Peacocks, winners of the MAAC tournament in Atlantic City, continue their run as Jersey City’s top fifteen seed and their story has captivated the nation. After defeating number two seed Kentucky Wildcats and next number seven seed Murray State, the Peacocks are in Philadelphia for Friday night’s Sweet Sixteen game against the Purdue Boilermakers at the Wells Fargo Center. The Peacocks are just the third 15th seed to make it to the soft 16 in tournament history. On Thursday night, Jay Wright’s Villanova team qualified for the Elite 8 with their hard-fought win over Michigan. There’s always drama with the NCAA tournament, which is why it’s called March Madness!
In two weeks, the Phillies open their 2022 campaign against the Oakland Athletics at Citizens Bank Park on April 8. The Flyers traded Claude Giroux before the NH:Trade Deadline, then will get their first road win of 2022 against the St. Louis Blues and former Flyers head coach Craig Berube. The Eagles sign a Wide Receiver who knows Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and the Sixers have only ten regular season games left to play. Are they ready for the playoffs? The Vestiaire will talk about all this this weekend!
