Spicejet postpones scheduled board meeting to review quarterly results until Tuesday

SpiceJet postponed its scheduled board meeting to Tuesday, saying the company’s audit committee meeting to approve December quarter results was inconclusive due to lack of time. The low-cost airline, which is going through a turbulent period, was to announce the financial results for the quarter ended in December 2021 on Monday.

An intimation in this regard was given to the BSE on 8 February. In a filing late Monday evening, the airline said the board meeting scheduled for Feb. 14 “could not begin because the audit committee meeting for the approval of the financial results unaudited standalone and consolidated statements for the third quarter ended December 31, 2021 remain inconclusive and adjourned to February 15, 2022 due to lack of time”.

As a result, the board meeting is adjourned to February 15, according to the filing. The board of directors will meet on Tuesday to review and approve, among other things, the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the third quarter ended December 2021, he added.
