Southampton v Chelsea FC LIVE! Premier League Match Stream, Latest Team News, Lineups, TV, Today Prediction

Chelsea are looking to continue their hard-fought win over Leicester as they travel to face Southampton in the Premier League tonight. The Blues played over an hour with ten men against the Foxes, after Conor Gallagher’s first red card, but Raheem Sterling’s brace helped them get the three badly needed points.

Thomas Tuchel will hope his side can at least finish the game with a full quota, having also been left a man down against Leeds at Elland Road. After a somewhat hesitant start to the season, Chelsea cannot afford to continue to make life even more difficult for themselves.

They face a Southampton side who would have taken a lot of confidence from their game against Manchester United last time out, even though they went empty-handed. The Saints have caused plenty of problems for the visitors and will be looking to produce a similar display against Chelsea. Follow all the action with Standard Sport’s LIVE blog below!

Live updates

Southampton looked menacing against Manchester United and will feel he can cause real problems for the Chelsea defence.

But the Saints aren’t particularly strong themselves and the Blues are well able to take on this one. There were signs against Leicester that Raheem Sterling was really starting to settle into his new surroundings and Thomas Tuchel will be keen to see more of that tonight.

Chelsea won 3-1.

Chelsea team news

Reece James will not be involved tonight as he is missing what is believed to be an illness.

Harvey Vale and Billy Gilmour replace him and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan, in the squad.
