Sounders eliminated at Club World Cup

Saudi clubs Al-Hilal and Egyptian Al Ahly qualified on Saturday for the semi-finals of the Club World Cup in Morocco.

In the next round, Al-Hilal will face Brazilian team Flamengo next Tuesday in Tangier and Al Ahly against Real Madrid the next day in Rabat. Flamengo and Real go directly to the semi-final stage.
Al-Hilal eliminated Wydad Casablanca, African champions, 5 shots on goal to 4 in Rabat, after snatching the equalizer and extra time in additional time of the second period (1-1).
For his part, Al Ahly defeated the Seattle Sounders (1-0) in Tangier, with a late goal scored by midfielder Afsha (88th).
19-year-old Musab Al Juwayr scored the winning shot for Al-Hilal, while Jalal Daoudi missed his for Wydad.
Moroccan right-back Ayoub El Amloud opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, and Saudi midfielder Mohamed Kanno equalized in added time (90+4), three minutes after Moroccan Yahya Jabrane was sent off.
In extra time the Saudi striker Mohamed Kanno was in turn excluded (94th).
