Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge Middle Name for Newborn Daughter

Sofia Richie made a wise choice for her daughter’s middle name.

On Friday, May 24, the 25-year-old model revealed on Instagram that she and husband Elliot Grainge welcomed their daughter four days earlier.

“Eloise Samantha Grainge 🤍 5•20•24 best day ever 🤍,” Richie captioned the sweet black and white photo of his daughter’s feet.

The middle name Samantha holds special meaning for the couple. The name honors Grainge’s late mother, Samantha Berg, who suffered complications during childbirth, which left her in a coma until her death in 2007.

News of the birth of Richie’s daughter comes just weeks after she shared snaps of her baby bump on May 6, counting down the final days of her pregnancy.

“Waiting for you, baby girl,” the model wrote at the time on her Instagram Stories, which included a profile of her baby bump while she wore a white tank top and cream-colored pants.

Richie later shared a similar photo on his Instagram grid, writing, “9 months of happiness 💕🕊️,” as she posed aside.

The couple, who married in April 2023, said Vogue earlier this year that they were expecting their first child. In the interview, Richie also shared details about their gender reveal party.

“I love YouTubes and TikToks – even before we talk about pregnancy – of gender reveals, so we asked our obstetrician to text my assistant Becca (the gender of our baby), and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink,” Richie said.

“She left out the one with the right color inside, and Elliot and I put it together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a real shock,” she said. -she continued. “But my dream in life is to have a daughter, and Elliot is also very excited about having a daughter.”
