Simon Jordan says he ‘couldn’t give a monkey’ how Scotland and Wales are doing at Euro 2020 as former Crystal Palace owner in heated debate with Jim White live on talkSPORT

Simon Jordan and Jim White embarked on a heated debate on talkSPORT on the topic of supporting all home nations at Euro 2020.

The tournament will finally begin on Friday with England, Scotland and Wales all in action in their first group matches over the next few days.

Jordan is only interested in how England

England and Scotland were drawn in the same group and will face off at Wembley next Friday – with the Tartan Army in their first major tournament since 1998.

But former Crystal Palace owner Jordan admitted he “couldn’t care” how Scotland and Wales got along.

Should fans be supporting rival teams in European competitions and should host nations all cheer each other on? It is a debate that is stirring up fury and will continue to be debated as long as football fans still have breath.

And the proud Scottish White challenged his co-host on his views, leading to a memorable, live-on-air exchange.

Simon jordan: “No, I don’t want Scotland and Wales to be doing well. I don’t care if Scotland and Wales are doing well. I do not care.

“I don’t want them to hurt but I don’t care if Scotland win a game, come out of the squad or get beaten 6-0.

“I would be more interested in winning Belgium or Bulgaria, if they play, than Scotland.

“I’m not interested in Scotland, it’s just another country.

Jim White: “Where is that from ?”

White scolded his co-host, but Jordan didn’t change his mind

SJ: “It comes from the point of view that we have to be politically correct in what we say rather than in what we think.

“I don’t really care about Scotland in this tournament. I don’t want them to lose, but I don’t care if they win. I don’t care that Wales wins.

“Actually, I’m going to take it a step further. If Wales won I would be a bit against it because I saw their ridiculous behavior at the 2016 European Championships when I saw our disappearance in Iceland.

“I am an Englishman.”

JW: “So let me understand correctly, if it is between England which leaves this group with Croatia, or England which leaves the group with Scotland, for whom would you go? “

SJ: “Neither. I don’t care what Croatia or Scotland do. It’s not a comparison or a contrast or either / or.

” I do not care. On the other hand, and you a lot? “

JW: “It’s disgusting, I must say. “

SJ: “It’s not. It’s honesty. It’s genuine and most people would say the same thing. I’m not sitting here saying I want Scotland to fail.

“I say I don’t care about Scotland at all. “

JW: “So if you don’t say you want Scotland to fail, what do you mean by ‘I don’t care if they lose 6-0’.”

SJ: “I don’t care that they win 6-0. I couldn’t be more ambivalent if I tried.

JW: “The attitude here, I have to say, is the very reason we’re going ‘England, are you kidding? “

“Because you look like an England fan. You look like a blinkered England fan and you shouldn’t.

SJ: “What are the blinders in there?”

JW: “What are the blinders in there?” It doesn’t matter that Scotland and Wales fail as long as England succeed. “

SJ: “No no. I don’t care if they succeed or if they fail. I am ambivalent, disinterested, disengaged, completely indifferent to Scotland.

“I could be just as interested in Belgium, France or Spain, where I have lived for 20 years, as Scotland.

“Tell me why I should. “

JW: ” Why not you ? “

SJ: “Why should I?”

JW: “You just said about Gordon Strachan how great he is a talker and what a great player. He was a great player and he played for Scotland.

SJ: “If Gordon had come from Peru and I loved him, it wouldn’t make any difference to me.

JW: “Why don’t you support all the original nations? “

SJ: “Why should I?”
