Police say the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. on East 198th Street near Webster Avenue in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx.
According to a police source, a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were attending a baby shower in a hall on the second floor of a building near the scene when a fight broke out outside.
It spilled over to the corner of 198th Street where the shooting happened.
Authorities say the 28-year-old shot the 24-year-old, then a friend of the 24-year-old came out of the building, grabbed the gun and shot the 28-year-old. , who may also have been stabbed.
Police found the 24-year-old with a gunshot wound to the chest and the 28-year-old with a gunshot wound to the face.
Both men were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

We don’t know what the men were arguing about.
According to police, the three men are from New Rochelle.
This deadly shooting comes as gun violence continues to escalate in New York City.
The neighbors work Sunday morning, deeply disturbed.

“It had to happen because with the craziness going on here, it will continue too,” said one resident. “It’s not the first time it’s going to continue because it’s really out of control here. I don’t know how the city is going to stop that from happening, the police department. But it’s very very bad .”
The 28-year-old friend was taken into police custody. Charges are pending.
The police recovered a firearm.
After further investigation, police said they were looking for an additional suspect and released photos of the man they were looking for.
