She-Hulk Episode 2 Post-Credits Scene, Explained

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2 – now streaming on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar – sort of returns to one of the very first Marvel movies, as Tim Roth returns as Emil Blonsky/Abomination from 2008 L Incredible Hulk. Given that 14 years have passed since the second chapter of what was then a fledgling Marvel Cinematic Universe, I imagine many may have forgotten who Blonsky is. If they even saw the movie in the first place. This is why Blonsky more or less reintroduces himself on She-Hulk episode 2, and references the Harlem fight he had with Bruce Banner/Hulk.

That last one is a little weird because Blonsky talks about a time when Mark Ruffalo wasn’t playing the Hulk then. As MCU and Hulk fans will remember, Edward Norton was cast to direct The Incredible Hulk, before deciding to walk away / was replaced – reasons vary depending on who you talk to – by Ruffalo from the first date The Avengers in 2012. She-Hulk Episode 2 momentarily takes us back to a time when the MCU was still figuring things out (and what remains one of the most hyped overhauls of all time). Now it’s a devouring beast.

While the second episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is largely all about Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) finding out about her life as She-Hulk and the first case at her new job – Supreme Sorcerer Wong (Benedict Wong) stops, revealing he forced Blonsky into that cage fight we saw in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – a family dinner is stuck in the middle of it all. Walters has to deal with her mom trying to set her up with a random guy, her extended family pointing out that she’s been fired, and her dad wanting her help with a few things around the house.

She-Hulk episode 2 mid-credits scene, explained

The post-credits scene of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 2 jumps back to the last of those, as we see Walters holding the car in the form of She-Hulk, while his cousin Ched – whom Bruce and Jennifer despise , while we learned about She-Hulk episode 1 – changes the tire and has a chat with her uncle and Jen’s father, Morris Walters (Mark Linn-Baker). It’s funny, but don’t they have a jack in the house?

Morris and Ched discuss 4K – is it because he works at Best Buy? — with Jen’s dad asking his nephew if it’s worth it. Ched thinks it’s not super useful or anything, and he doesn’t really see the benefits of 4K. But when Ched tries to say he knows nothing about changing tires, Morris doesn’t seem to pay attention.

The She-Hulk The episode 2 post-credits scene then moves inside the house, as Morris asks Jennifer to set up the TV herself. She tells him not to touch any of the wires – more than once. And finally, we’re back out of the Walters’ house, with Jennifer having to carry lots of 20-litre water canisters. “I’m glad you’re staying hydrated dad, but that’s a little over the top,” She-Hulk jokes, as the scene cuts to the credits.

As for the post-credits scene attached to She-Hulk Episode 1, this too is just an extended gag – one that didn’t flow naturally with the rest of the episode, and so was given its own place between the credits.

She-Hulk Episode 2 is available now on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. She-Hulk Episode 3 premieres September 1 at 12:30 p.m. IST / 12 p.m. PT. In India, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
