‘Several’ Tottenham stars want Antonio Conte gone after his explosive rant after Southampton draw

Antonio Conte’s explosive collapse after Tottenham’s draw with Southampton has reportedly left part of the squad wanting him sacked now.
The Spurs boss branded his players ‘selfish’ with no ‘heart’ or ‘desire’ after losing a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 at St Mary’s on Saturday.

Former Tottenham midfielder and talkSPORT host Jamie O’Hara believes Conte’s rant was a call for the board to sack him after he also spoke out against club ownership.
Conte is only tied to North London until the end of the season, but it remains to be seen whether he will still be in charge after the international break.
And according to The Sun, “several” members of the Spurs squad want the club to wield the ax on him before the Premier League resumes on April 1.
They state that the players were “knocked out” following his public and scathing attack.
It was also said the team knew it was “impossible” for the former Chelsea manager to be in charge next season, with many believing he would have left before facing Everton on April 3.
And the report also says Conte is not hanging out at Hotspur Way after returning to Italy for a short break.

Conte fumed this weekend: “The problem is that we have shown that we are not a team. We are 11 players.
“I see selfish players. I see players who don’t want to help each other, who don’t play from the heart.
“It’s the same every season, it doesn’t matter who the manager is. They’re used to it here.
“Don’t play for something important. They don’t want to play under pressure. They don’t want to play under stress.

“Tottenham’s story is this. They’ve been the owner for 20 years and they’ve never won anything but why? The fault is only with the club, or with every manager who stays here.
“I saw the managers that Tottenham had on the bench. You risk upsetting the figure of the manager and protecting the other situation at all times.
“Until now I try to hide the situation but now no, because I repeat that I don’t want to see what I saw today because it is unacceptable and also unacceptable for the fans.
“They follow us, pay the ticket and see the team another time to have this type of performance, it’s unacceptable. We have to think a lot about this.
