Russian air defenses attacked at least 11 hostile targets, Defense Ministry says
The Russian military repelled a new Ukrainian drone attack on the Crimean peninsula, with at least 11 drones intercepted in its airspace on Thursday morning.
“On September 14, around 5:30 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using aviation-type drones against objects in the Russian Federation was foiled.” » said the ministry in a brief statement on Telegram.
Russian air defense units “destroyed 11 unmanned aerial vehicles” in Crimean airspace, the military said, without providing further details.
It is not clear where the drones were intercepted, but several explosions and anti-aircraft fire were heard near the city of Evpatoria in Crimea, according to accounts on social media.
