Sergio Aguero mocks Alejandro Garnacho after Manchester United youngster receives match ball from Cristiano Ronaldo

Sergio Aguero couldn’t resist cracking a joke at Alejandro Garnacho’s expense after sharing a heartwarming moment with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 17-year-old posted a photo of himself and CR7 on Instagram after receiving the match ball awarded to the Portuguese icon for his hat-trick against Norwich.

For the first time in his senior career with the Red Devils, the Argentine was named on the substitutes’ bench during the club’s game against the Canaries.

And he got to watch a great display from one of the greatest players in history as Ronaldo produced a hat-trick to help his side win 3-2.

It was a crucial win for Ralf Rangnick’s men as they closed the gap to within three points of fourth-placed Tottenham in the hunt for Champions League qualification.

At the final whistle, the number seven wins the match ball for the 60th time in his club career.

But in an emotional moment, the 37-year-old then opted to gift the ball to Garnacho.

Garnacho then took to Instagram to thank Ronaldo and captioned the post: ‘Greatest of all time…Dream big guys’.

Ronaldo also appreciated the Argentine’s words and sent a punch emoji in the comment section of the post.

While most of the gestures were positive in nature, the hilarious compatriot Aguero chose to give a different perspective.

His message read: “Porque todavía no jugaste con el mejor pa @leomessi”. Which translates to: “Because you haven’t played with the best @leomessi yet.”

Garnacho was named in the Argentina senior squad in March alongside Lionel Messi.

The Spanish-born player was called up for World Cup matches against Venezuela and Ecuador but didn’t feature in either contest.

Having rubbed shoulders with two of the greatest players in history, the future certainly looks bright for Garnacho, and those are the words his club manager, Rangnick, echoed.

“He’s only 17 but if he keeps his feet on the ground, not only will he sit on the bench but he’ll play for this club,” the caretaker boss said after the Norwich game.
