Serge Aurier, Etienne Capoue and Juan Foyth among ex-Spurs players leading Villarreal to UCL semis

Tottenham are through to the Champions League semi-finals, are they? Well yes and no.
With the amount of former Spurs players at Villarreal, some fans of the north London club are trying to claim the (very slim) victory.
The Spanish side qualified for the semi-finals of the prestigious competition after a shock victory over German champions Bayern Munich.
This is the first time Villarreal manager Unai Emery has reached this Champions League stage and he possibly owes some of the credit to four essential players.
Villarreal had welcomed four former Spurs players to the club, such as Etienne Capoue, Juan Foyth, Serge Aurier and their latest signing on loan, Giovani Lo Celsa.
Since Lo Celsa left North London to play for the Yellow Submarines, he has made a huge impact for which he has received countless accolades, including being named a ‘giant’ and ‘absolute figure’ by a publication. Argentina.

And the former Arsenal boss used the opportunity to direct former Tottenham players to aim for a trophy at the club.
Emery said: “Tottenham are also a very big club, but here they (these players) could win things.
“Tottenham have gone years without winning anything, no trophies.”
Seeing former Spurs players hold the fort in the Champions League, many fans took to social media to express their thoughts.
