But the seven-time Wimbledon champion has hinted she will make her season debut when the tournament begins on June 27.
Writing on Instagram, she posted a picture of her feet wearing a Nike trainer on a grass pitch with the words: “SW and SW19. It’s a date. 2022 See you there. Let’s # renasarmy.
She also tagged Eastbourne in the post suggesting she could take part in Wimbledon’s warm-up event the previous week.
Williams is still in the hunt for a record 24th Grand Slam singles title and has reached the final twice since returning from the birth of her daughter – in 2018 and 2019 – only to lose twice.
