Selena Gomez fans slam the Good Fight kidney transplant joke

Selena Gomez fans are done with those same old jokes.

The singer’s supporters recently took to Twitter to call an episode of The good fight, which referred to the battle for the health of the former Disney.

In season five, episode four, a comedy streaming executive Del (Wayne brady) asks Liz (Audra McDonald) to perform a sensitivity reading on one of its actors. It leads to a conversation about comedy and sets the culture aside.

During a discussion between Marissa (Sarah steele), Jay (Nyambi Nyambi) and Jim (Ifádansi Rashad), Jay says you now “need permission to tell a joke”. So Jim prints joke permits. Jay then wonders if there are any subjects that are forbidden.

“Um, necrophilia?” Jim responds.

“No, that could be funny,” Marissa replies.

“Autism,” Jay says.

“Selena Gomez’s kidney transplant,” says Jim.

After seeing the scene, several Gomez fans started tweeting “Respect Selena Gomez”.

“When will people stop doing this !!” a follower wrote. “RESPECT SELENA GOMEZ.”

Added another, “So we are using Selena’s kidney transplant as a trend? It has happened several times in the media, it has to stop. #RespectSelenaGomez.”
