Selena Gomez begs fans to stop bullying Hailey Bieber

Selena Gomez calls on her fans to stop bullying Hailey Bieber.

The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star said in an Instagram Story on Friday that Bieber contacted her and said she had “received death threats and such hateful negativity.”

“That’s not what I stand for,” Gomez said. “No one should have to suffer hate or bullying. I’ve always been about kindness and I really want this to end.

Gomez has been embroiled in a years-long media circus around her and Bieber, a model and skincare brand founder who is married to singer Justin Bieber. Gomez and Justin dated for about eight years before marrying Hailey in 2018.

The spectacle surrounding the three celebrities reached new heights last month when social media users speculated there had been drama between Gomez and Bieber after fans accused the model and her friend, Kylie Jenner, of mocking Gomez in an Instagram Story about her eyebrow rolling.

The accusations prompted Gomez to take a social media hiatus, calling the drama “stupid.” Jenner also weighed in on the hype surrounding her Instagram video, writing in a TikTok comments section that she meant “no shade” towards Gomez. Gomez chimed in to agree with Jenner, calling it all “unnecessary.”

But fans apparently continued to vent their anger towards Bieber and Jenner, and Gomez has since reportedly commented on various TikToks to express his gratitude for the fan support (including from one user who called out “mean girls” and “nepo babies.” ).

Many onlookers probably thought the circus surrounding Gomez and Bieber would have died down after they shocked the internet by posing for a photo together at the Academy Museum gala in October 2022. But in some fans’ minds, obviously, it is as if the feud is still ongoing, even though Gomez and Bieber themselves have been saying for months that there is no beef.

In September 2022, Bieber addressed the online attacks she’s received over the years during an appearance on the “Call her Daddy” podcast. She shut down speculation that there was an overlap between her relationship with her current husband and her relationship with Gomez.

She also said there was no feud between her and Gomez.

“Everything is respect. It’s all love,” Bieber said. “That’s also why I feel like if everyone on our side knows what happened and we’re good and we can walk away from it with clarity and respect, then, like, that’s fine. .”
