Sebastine Ikahihifo returns to the Huddersfield Giants after spending two seasons on loan with Super League rivals Salford.

The former Super League Dream Team frontline forward played 28 times for the Red Devils during his spell, some of those outings coming with Giants coach Ian Watson in charge.

Ikahihifo initially arrived in Huddersfield from the NZ Warriors in 2016 and his formidable 2017 season was rewarded with a place in the Dream Team.

Ikahihifo said: “It’s good to be back, I still live here and it’s good to be home. I can’t wait to work with Ian Watson again – he’s one of the smartest coaches I’ve worked with and he really uses me I have fond memories with Ian Watson and Greg Brown.

“I also know what to expect from Greg Brown, lots of muscle endurance which is good for me, it will get me in shape. The training at Salford was great and they are both great coaches and I look forward to working with them again.
