The magnificent action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked launched into Early Access on Steam this week, allowing PC players to experience the first act of the dark fantasy adventure as well as a selection of side content. The game costs $40, but you can grab it for just $32 at Fanatical. No Rest for the Wicked is the next game from Moon Studios, the famous development team behind Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. No Rest for the Wicked trades the fancy 2D side-scrolling of the Ori games for a top-down action-RPG and dark fantasy approach inspired by Diablo and From Software’s Dark Souls, while still featuring the rich, drawn visual style by hand for which the studio is renowned. For. Just, you know… way more sinister and darker than anything we’ve seen in Ori.
The initial early access release of No Rest for the Wicked includes the first chapter of the campaign, side quests, optional boss fights, and a repeatable dungeon. Being a loot-focused RPG, there’s also plenty of gear to collect. Be aware that purchasing the initial Early Access version of No Rest for the Wicked is not the full game (at least not yet). As with other Early Access titles, it’s missing all of the features and content planned for the final release – and it’s likely that early players will encounter some bugs and unpolished items, but that’s to be expected. However, early access players receive an exclusive set of Carim armor as a reward for helping test the game, and with these deals you can also save on the game. This purchase grants access to future updates and the full version of No Rest for the Wicked.
Although Moon Studios has not announced a firm release date for No Rest for the Wicked, the final version 1.0 will include online cooperative and competitive modes for up to four players, the full story campaign and world map, a farming system and tons of features. additional side quests, bosses, dungeons, loot and much more. All of this content will be added via routine updates during the Early Access period on PC. The final version will also launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
