‘Saturday Night Live’ cast member Chris Redd drags Elon Musk ahead of host debut

Chris Redd, cast member of “Saturday Night Live,” cast a sly shadow over bighead Elon Musk on Saturday as the CEO of Tesla reflected on Twitter at start to come organize the program next weekend.

“Throwing in some sketch ideas for SNL,” Musk tweeted. “What should I do?”

Redd hit back, “First I would call them sketches,” that’s what they are.

Others on Twitter were a little more vicious.

Musk probably needs all the help he can get with his appearance on “SNL” – especially since the members of the comedy crew don’t seem particularly excited to appear with him next Saturday. It could leave the goofy but self-righteous billionaire to dry out.

Bowen Yang and Aidy Bryant in particular have already dropped a bit of social media snark. After Musk tweeted, “Let’s find out how live Saturday Night Live really is,” Yang said dryly, “What does that mean?”

Bryant simply posted on Instagram a quote from Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) On the “moral obscenity” of the ultra rich.

Writer Andrew Dismukes posted on Instagram: “The only CEO I want to sketch with is Cher-E Oteri,” in a photo of Cheri Oteri, a former SNL alumnus.

“Weekend Update” co-host joked to Jimmy Fallon earlier this week that he hopes the billionaire will continue the “SNL” tradition of hosts of giving “a few million bucks” to cast members. Che said, however, that he was “excited” to meet Musk.

The cast members wouldn’t be forced to appear with Musk Fi they don’t want.

“Historically, if a cast member has been this unhappy, they don’t have to,” a source told Page Six in The New York Post. SNL boss Lorne Michaels “will never make them do anything they don’t want to do,” the source added.

The musical guest next Saturday is Miley Cyrus.
