According to reports, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi starrer Munna Bhai 3 may never happen.
Fans of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have been waiting for the third installment of the Munna Bhai franchise for a long time and recently, the video of the actor kissing on the sets went viral on social media, only adding to the speculations according to which something is brewing. However, if reports are to be believed, the two met for an ad shoot and Munna Bhai 3 might never happen.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, a source opened up about Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi’s viral video and told the entertainment portal, “There is no film in the pipeline. They filmed for a hospital commercial and BTS’s video was released online, which sparked the rumors.
A source also told the portal why Munna Bhai 3 might never happen and said, “There are very less chances of the third film happening now due to the fallout between Rajkummar Hirani and (producer) Vidhu Vinod Chopra.” It’s been several years since they split following the #MeToo allegations against Hirani. In fact, there was a film with a working title Munna Bhai Chale America, but it was quickly shelved for no reason. The script was finalized and pre-production had also started, but it could not happen. »
He added, “It has been decided that Fox Studios will terminate Munna Bhai 3 if Hirani is found guilty. The studio stands in solidarity with the survivor.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dunki which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu. The film is expected to hit theaters in December this year.
Sanjay Dutt was recently seen making a cameo appearance in Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and will next be seen in Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo as the main antagonist. He also has Welcome 3 in the pipeline starring Arshad Warsi, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon and Lara Dutt.
